What highlights and challenges are waiting for you this year? Let's share ideas at the next Women's Networking Lunch on February 05 at 12 pm in Z10.

This is an informal gathering where you can meet female researchers from the other CRCs and members of your own CRC to talk about topics that are relevant to you, and to strenghten your network along the way! This time, we will have a short input by Silke Hell. She will present the counseling services of the Academic Staff Development.

Everyone brings her own lunch (microwave available) and the Gender Consulting Service provides a choice of teas.

A play about women and research, directed by Sandra Schüddekopf, with Anita Zieher impersonating the three outstanding female scientists.

Radiation. Nuclear fission. Frequency hopping.

Three outstanding pioneers represent the achievements of women in the field of science and technology: Double Nobel Prize winner and discoverer of radioactivity Marie Curie (1867-1934), Austrian-Swedish nuclear physicist Lise Meitner (1878-1968) and Viennese Hollywood actress Hedy Lamarr (1914-2000) with her invention of frequency hopping.

Anecdotes from their lives, achievements and obstacles as well as the contents of their research and the passion for their work are at the centre of the portraittheater play „Curie_Meitner_Lamarr_indivisible“. Complemented by music and videos with three girls asking pertinent questions the play is an entertaining portrait of extraordinary women in history.
