Transmission-based noise spectroscopy for quadratic qubit-resonator interactions

The study develops a theory for the transient transmission through noisy qubit-resonator systems with quadratic interactions and demonstrates that only linear and quadratic couplings can be analytically treated within standard input-output theory. It is shown that noise characteristics can be extracted from input-output measurements by recording the fluctuations in the transmission probability and the phase, which has practical applications in the field of transmission-based noise spectroscopy.

Tracing attosecond electron emission from a nanometric metal tip

This study used two-color modulation spectroscopy to measure the suboptical-cycle strong-field emission dynamics from nanostructures with attosecond precision. The results have applications in various fields such as ultrafast electron sources, quantum degeneracy studies, and petahertz electronics.

Femtosecond Frequency Combs with Few-kHz Passive Stability over an Ultrabroadband Spectral Range

Femtosecond frequency combs are highly precise measurement tools with applications in various fields. A study has been conducted to understand the noise properties of fiber-based frequency combs, leading to the discovery of distinct minima where the free-running linewidth of the carrier-envelope offset frequency drops below 1 kHz, enabling the development of highly stable combs for measurement tasks in time and frequency domains.

Light emission in delta-T -driven mesoscopic conductors

The fluctuations of the current in mesoscopic conductors provide additional information on the scattering mechanism not available through conductance alone. This papers' focus is on delta-T noise, generalized here to the nonsymmetrized current-current correlator at finite frequencies, where a temperature difference ΔT leads to a partial reduction of noise for certain frequency ranges.

Quantitative signal extraction in the dynamic range of nanomechanical systems by free and constrained fitting

Two fitting procedures are introduced to determine the intrinsic response of nanomechanical systems in the presence of noise and environmental factors. The free fitting procedure is demonstrated on amorphous silicon nitride nanomembranes and provides access to membrane vibration properties, while the constrained fitting procedure can verify physical models for quantities like excitation, fluctuations, and damping.
